14th July 2008 was Abhinav's 1st Birthday. I wanted to give a decent party so that as he grows he can look back and feel happy about it. Since July 14th was Monday i preponed it by one day so that most of them turn up.
We did it in a Restaurant "Nandhini" located in Jayanagar 4th block, Bangalore. It was a very nice get together with many near and dear ones. There were about 120 who turned up for the party though I had invited about 175. Not bad I guess!
I had hired a professional decorator and asked him to decorate in Tom & Jerry theme with balloons. It was pretty good and kids really enjoyed it. Nandhini's food was also pretty good and people liked it. As part of return gift we bought few tiffin boxes and filled them up with chocolates, sketch pens, rubber and other small items so that each kid likes it. My elder brother is an artist, so I did not have to go for third party for preparing a simple invitation card (E-Card).
Though i had bigger plans I could not find enough time to do it better. Anyways, it was pretty good.
